As an ICB we do not currently have a system treatment pathway for patients, this is something we are working towards.

The ICB has a formal programme of work for obesity led by a steering group
alongside a series of whole system workshops the first of which took place in May 2023. There are no minutes from these meetings.

The anticipated timeline is yet to be determined as we are working with partners across the system to develop a shared vision and principles underpinning the culture and delivery of all services to support weight management. We are also undertaking work to understand the need / demand, current capacity, and costs / resource requirements etc. We have a further two system planning workshops to hold in July and September and we are developing a proposal of what we would like to achieve that includes short, medium and long term goals, activity and outcomes, including what would be delivered at system/place.

This work currently sits in the Improving Population Health Programme, and the Senior Responsible Officer is Dr James Thomas, Medical Director and Robin Tuddenham, Chief Executive -Calderdale Council and Accountable Officer, Calderdale Place
