Tier 2:


Programmes available are:

  • OneYou weight management programme

Tier 3 and 4:


Services available are:

  • Tier 3 healthy weight services for Kent residents are currently commissioned by Kent County Council via the Public Health grant.

  • The Public Health grant is intended to fund health promotion and primary prevention services.

  • Some Tier 3 weight management is delivered to patients with a primary function of health promotion/ prevention, as part of the pathway that may also includeTier 4 bariatric surgery, with some access to GLP-1s.

  • However, Tier 3 weight management may also be delivered aspart of a planned surgical pathway, ie for people who are seriously obese who are required to achieve a reduction in BMI before they can receive a surgical intervention.

Tier 4 treatment is not commissioned by all Trusts in the ICS.
